SHRINK SLEEVES
Shrink sleeves can be more durable than adhesive labels, provide a premium finish and are a great solution for different shaped containers.
ABOUT SHRINK SLEEVES
Shrink sleeves (sometimes known as heat shrinkable sleeves or shrink-on labelling) are now a standard production process for many everyday items including sauces, soft drinks, juices, spirits and cleaning products.
In recent years, shrink sleeving has been widely adopted across a large number of market sectors including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, household and cosmetics.
In simple terms, a printed shrink wrap or film is is wrapped tightly over the contours of the 3D object it is covering.
They provide a 360 degree packaging design solution with extreme shelf impact.
OUR SHRINK SLEEVE PROCESS
Your designs are reverse printed onto a special substrate and if desired, we can then apply satin or matt treatments to the front facing surface.
In our London studio, shrink sleeves are applied by our experts in a professional shrink cabinet. This ensures that we always get consistent results, especially with trickier shapes and higher volumes.
Our shrink cabinet precisely focuses steam to provide a perfect shrink every time!
After carrying out pre-print distortion tests and checking bar-codes, we use a professional solvent based sleeve maker to ensure that the final seams are of a production standard.
DO YOU REQUIRE SHORT RUN SHRINK SLEEVE PROOFS OR MOCK-UPS?
For Dagwood clients, shrink sleeves are a clever and cost effective method of mocking up your designs onto cans, aerosols, bottles, tubes, containers and tins. So if you need 3D shrink sleeve mock-ups for photography, trade samples or market research then please contact us
